Congress Working Committee meet on Nov 29
The meeting of Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party’s highest decision making body will be held in the national capital, as per the party.
The Congress leader said he is not interested in participating in the CWC election and it is “for others to step forward”.
Senior Congress leader Sashi Tharoor MP has on Friday said let the party leadership decide whether there should be an election for the Congress Working Committee (CWC).
Speaking to media persons here, Tharoor said it is the party leadership, who is to decide whether Congress working Committee (CWC) are to be chosen through election or not. He said he is not interested in participating in the CWC election and it is “for others to step forward”.
“I’m not interested in any position for myself, it was to make a certain point and stand up for certain principles that I contested for the party president’s post. I feel I made my point, now it is for others to step forward,” Sashi Tharoor said.

Tharoor said he was not responding to his party colleague Kodikkunnel Suresh’s statement that there are so many Dalit leaders in Kerala Congress, who are eligible to be part of the CWC. Till date Dalits from Kerala are not considered to elect to the CWC, Kodikkunnel, the other day said.
